Aeroculture is a method of growing plants without soil. The plants are suspended and moistened with a spray of water and nutrients aimed directly at the roots. This agricultural technique saves water and is ideal in places where soil, water, or square footage are limited like dense cities and desert climates. A greenhouse in every urban home would improve quality of life because the resident could grow fresh fruits and vegetables and have cleaner air to breathe. Aeroponics is a beneficial method of growing plants because the increased air circulation improves growth of the plants. Unlike common greenhouses, this technique decreases the chance of disease spreading through shared soil. If a plant does become diseased, it can easily be removed without infecting other plants.
